  • Day 1
    Ciudad Bolivar - Caura Lodge (A / C)
The day starts early with a trip from Ciudad Bolivar, about 4 hours away since the end of the road is very deteriorated.
Once in the Caura Lodge, and after lunch, there will be a trip of about 15 minutes to the "Ceiba Grande" an unusually large tree. Then you will take a beautiful boat ride, where perhaps you can see some dolphins, to Yokore Island. In this beautiful island you will have the opportunity to watch the sunset before returning to the Caura Lodge where you will spend the night.

    Day 2
Full day at Cerro Las Mercedes and Indigenous communities (D / A / C)
Venture upstream to one of the most inhospitable places in the jungle where you will only find small Indian communities along the river. We will stop at one of these communities to know the process of the production of cassava, a typical Indian bread.
Continue by boat, you will pass small water rapids before reaching the starting point of the hike to Cerro Las Mercedes. The walk will take about two hours where you will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of plants like orchids, bromeliads, Chinin tree and plants of Vainilla.
Finally you will arrive at a huge rock where you can see the majesty of the forest. If you are lucky it will be adorned by toucans and macaws.

    Day 3
Chuapo Lagoon. Return to Ciudad Bolivar. (D / A)
Navigate in a variety of lagoons located in the flooded part of the Caura River. In the dry season (November to May) you will also have the opportunity to do a little walk in the forest, where you will appreciate the differences with the rainforest. In the lagoon you can easily observe crocodiles, which usually are on the banks of the river. You will also have the opportunity to see a lot of birds before returning to the Caura Lodge for the final lunch.
Return to Ciudad Bolivar after lunch.
